Local Non-Profit Highlight

This month I would like to spotlight a fantastic local non-profit organization in our community. Ceres Community Project is dedicated to providing nourishing, medically tailored meals for individuals facing serious illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, and congestive heart failure.

In addition to offering this support, Ceres also mentors local teens, a large cohort of their volunteer base who help prepare these meals and tend their gardens (my teenage son used to volunteer there once a week). By engaging with teens through hands-on learning in the kitchen and garden, Ceres helps cultivate the next generation of mindful, health-conscious leaders!

The ingredients used in Ceres' meals are 100% organic and locally sourced, including produce from their own gardens. Ceres also partners with healthcare providers and insurers to demonstrate how medically tailored meals can improve patient health while reducing healthcare costs.

There are many ways to support Ceres, including volunteering, food donations, and monetary donations.  Keep Ceres Community Project in mind as we enter into the season of giving.
